The Cherokee Tribune publishes anniversary announcements for 50 or more years in the Sunday newspaper as part of a public services. The weekly deadline for announcements to appear in the following Sunday edition is Wednesday at 12 noon. We cannot guarantee when an announcement will be published, and we cannot call to notify you of the date it will run. Announcements may not run more than three months after the anniversary date. All announcements must include a daytime telephone number in case any details need to be checked. The couple must either live in Cherokee County or have lived in Cherokee County at some time for announcements to be published. Former residents please indicated where in Cherokee County you lived.
A recent black-and-white or good-quality color gloss photography of the couple may be submitted. Photographs may be brought to the newspaper office , mailed to: Cherokee Tribune 521 East Main St., Canton, GA 30144 or emailed to bjacoby@cherokeetribune.com. Please specify "Anniversary Announcement" on the outside of the envelope and for emails specify your full name and date you submitted the "ANNIVERSARY FORM".
We reserve the right to edit announcements, to determine size and location of both pictures and copy and to refuse photos of unacceptable quality and/or size. Acceptable sizes are wallet size and up to 8X10s. No profiles, Polaroid or long-distance shots will be accepted. Photos may be picked up at the newspaper's front desk after publication or will be mailed if a self-addressed, stamped envelope is provided.
The return of photographs is not guaranteed.
