John Carson Bryant, who according to detectives has Alzheimer’s Disease, was last seen Thursday at the Acworth Regions Bank at about 4:30 p.m. where he withdrew a significant amount of cash.
His family reported him missing at 3:30 p.m. Friday.
Bryant is described as a white male, about 6 feet tall and weighing 215 pounds.
When he was last seen he was wearing shorts and a T-shirt, and may be wearing glasses, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
The missing man has gray hair and blue eyes.
Bryant is believed to be driving his truck, a 1994 red Ford F-150 with Georgia license plate DP1V11.
“Any time an elderly person goes missing, there is a good chance he is still in the area,” said Capt. Joe Perkins with the Sheriff’s Office. “This is the first time he has gone missing like this. He went to the bank, withdrew money and hasn’t been seen since.”
Anyone with information is urged to contact the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office at (770) 928-0239, or after midnight, call Cherokee 911.
