Mr. Richard Rhodes Alter, of Woodstock, GA, passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at Kennestone Hospital. He was 58. Memorial services will be today at 5 p.m. at Branches of Christ Church with the Rev. Steve Pettit officiating. Visitation will be held from 4-5 p.m. at the Church. Mr. Alter was born December 30, 1953 to the late Robert Rhodes Alter and Shirley Benscoten Alter Brushman. Survivors include his wife, Brenda Alter, Woodstock; two sons, Daniel and James Alter, Woodstock; his mother and step-father, Shirley Brushman (Herb), Marysville, Ohio; two step-children, Christopher and Angela Easter, Woodstock; grandchildren, Joshua Easter, Bailey Boyd, and Mason Alter; sister, Kathy Seidl, Harrisburg, PA.; also three nephews.
