On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I am writing to salute and thank the Cherokee County Board of Commissioners on its recent action to rename the county’s justice center in honor of Blue Ridge Judicial Circuit Chief Superior Court Judge Frank C. Mills III, who is retiring at the end of this year.
Judge Mills’ distinguished career in the legal profession spanned nearly four decades, including 32 years on the Superior Court bench, in addition to previous service as district attorney.
All Georgia lawyers and judges can be inspired by the career-long efforts of our colleague to promote the cause of justice, uphold the rule of law and protect the rights of all citizens. This is a most appropriate honor, and we wish Judge Mills well in his years of retirement ahead.
