City’s existence questioned

It has now been more than two weeks since I asked a very simple and basic question at a public town hall meeting. “Why should the city of Canton exist at all?”

It is absolutely fascinating that no one has yet answered or even attempted to answer this simple question.

It is now time to ask the companion question, “Why should the taxpayers of Canton pay extra taxes for something that no one can justify the existence of?”

Where is the usually vocal and always full of answers Glen Cummins aka “Mr. Give Away the Fire Department Because the County Can Do the Same Thing?”

Where are the newly announced city council candidates? Where are the usually vocal and always critical Council Meeting Groupies? Where are the anonymous Patch commentors?

Only crickets chirping? So why should the city exist? And why should we pay extra taxes for it? Anybody?

why Bill, we need the city in order for you to have a council seat that enables you to insult the voters and your peers. If the city folded, whatever woudl you do with yourself?

Quite the rant Mr. Bryan. Perhaps your posiiton on the council could be the first thing that is removed? Council meeting Groupies? While I do not attend these meetings I would think that citizen participation would be encouraged and appreciated instead of being denigrated.

Let's hope you take a well deserved respite from political life.

Well M or M Windon I am asking for citizen participation and have been for quite some time - almost three weeks now. And still none of any substance has been offered. Why don't you offer some substantive ideas and answers to a very legitimate question instead of mindless and snarky personal attacks?
