County OKs permit for new northeast Ga. hospital

GREENSBORO, Ga. (AP) — St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital has been given permission to begin construction work on the site of a new Good Samaritan Hospital in Greensboro.

The Athens Banner-Herald reports that St. Mary’s received a permit this week from Greene County that allows contractors to grade, fill and level the hospital site and its accompanying driveways and utility corridors.

The two-story, 75,000-square-foot facility is being built on Lake Oconee Parkway between Carey Station Road and Westlake Road.
