“Credit Union of Georgia continually seeks opportunities to support education in our community,” said Rebecca Cooper, CUGA business development director. “Through the A Day program we are providing assistance to deserving local students in Cherokee County. These bright and talented students will strengthen their ties here in Cherokee County while they receive a quality education at Reinhardt University, which will ultimately be beneficial to the community we serve.”
Cooper presented the donation to Reinhardt President Dr. J. Thomas Isherwood during a recent A DAY volunteer breakfast.
Created in 1988, the A DAY for Reinhardt campaign is an annual effort to provide support for Cherokee County students attending Reinhardt University. A DAY helps to fund the University’s Cherokee County Grant Program.
The grant gives eligible students the opportunity to receive as much as $8,000 during their four years at the University. Since A DAY’s inception, more than $3 million in Cherokee County grants have been awarded to local deserving students.
