L. Allen Duke, 64 of Woodstock, passed away December 18, 2010. Mr. Duke was a loving husband, father, friend and mentor with a very generous heart. He was a longtime member of Hillside United Methodist Church where he was a leader in the men's ministry. Allen was a retired 40 year veteran in the furniture business. He was one of the founding sales representatives for Maitland-Smith Furniture Company and was an avid golfer and car collector. He is survived by his loving wife, Vicki L. Duke; sons and daughters-in-law, Schon & Cynthia Duke, Winston-Salem, NC, Zach & Melody Duke, Canton; daughter, Ashley Bunch, Jersey City, NJ; son, Caleb Bunch, Acworth; grandchildren, Cameron Duke, Tally Duke, Grace Duke, Lola Duke and Rick Duke; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. A memorial service will be held 4:00PM Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at Hillside United Methodist Church in the Celebration Hall. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00PM Tuesday, December 21st at the church.
