CANTON — Early voters in the Nov. 5 election for city offices in Cherokee and the District 14 seat in the state Senate will be able to cast their ballots Saturday.

Although not always conducted on Saturdays, officials said state law requires early voting to take place on the second Saturday before an election with a state candidate on the ballot. The race for the District 14 seat makes the Nov. 5 election subject to this law.

To take advantage of this, voters can go to the Albert L. Stone Elections Building in Canton from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
