Authorities say the Monday afternoon fire resulted in a loss of power at Marine Corps Logistics Base-Albany.
Base Spokesman Colie Young tells The Albany Herald that a transformer at one of the substations caught fire. Young said that caused a temporary interruption in power. As a precaution, the power to the whole base was shut off.
Young said Monday afternoon the fire had been put out. No injuries were reported.
