Georgia-based South Carolina soldier dies in Afghanistan

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — A South Carolina soldier based in Georgia has died in Afghanistan.

The Pentagon said Monday that 43-year-0ld Chief Warrant Officer Curtis S. Reagan of Summerville died Friday in Kandahar, Afghanistan from a noncombat illness.

The Department of Defense did not provide details on the death.

Reagan was assigned to the 603rd Aviation Support Battalion, 3rd Combat Aviation Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart-Hunter Army Airfield, Ga.
