The HOPE Center in Woodstock is celebrating the success of its 2014 Walk for Life, which raised nearly $40,000 for the nonprofit pregnancy resource center and its thrift store.

The fifth annual event, which took place earlier in May at the Woodstock High School Stadium, drew almost 140 sponsored walkers.

“It was a great day for our supporters to come out and show their support for The HOPE Center,” said Cindy O’Leary, HOPE Center Executive Director. “The Walk continues to be a unique way to raise funds and awareness in the community. It allows us to continue to serve the needs of those seeking pregnancy and relationship support.”

The HOPE Center is a nonprofit pregnancy resource center seeking to provide help to individuals in the community facing pregnancy or relationship issues.

The Baby & More Thrift Store is a part of the ministry of The HOPE Center in Woodstock, O’Leary said. The store helps provide clothing and other basic necessities for their clients. It is also open to the public, providing bargain prices on everything for ladies, children and the home.

The HOPE Center and Baby & More Thrift Store is at 295 Molly Lane in Woodstock.
