Has there been a change?
Whether he is a bad man with evil intent, as some opine, or a good man who lacked the experience to do the job, as others say, or a far-sighted individual who is guiding us into an uncertain future is the decision we will all be asked to make on Nov. 6.
Does his opponent have a better idea and a better plan of action?
If your answer to that question is, "yes," then vote for him.
If your answer is, "no," then vote for the incumbent.
If your answer is, " I don't know," do us all a favor and go fishing on Election Day.
Because the one absolute truth about our system is that we always get the government we deserve. If we vote out of ignorance, we will get what we deserve. If we dig in and act like we care about our country, and are willing to put in a little effort, that will be rewarded in kind as well.
Here's the thing, once every four years we are asked a simple question, "Is the leader we selected doing a good enough job to keep that job"
We are not economists, pollsters, generals or pundits. We are simply Americans. Herein lies the strength of the system. At the end of the day, all the experts in the world cannot overrule the wisdom of "We, the people." The reason is simple. We, the people know what's important...and what's just talk.
