John E. Jacks, 75, of Kennesaw, died Tuesday, August 28, 2012. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Chapel, Marietta, with Rev. Jake Hall officiating. Interment will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Jacks was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and an active Boy Scout leader. He loved woodcarving and fishing. Survivors include two sons, Chris Jacks & wife, Darlene, Woodstock, and Jeff Jacks, Kennesaw; one grandson, much beloved Benjamin Jacks, Woodstock; one niece, Joa Acton, Marietta, and one great nephew, Wesley Acton, Marietta. Mr. Jacks was predeceased by his wife, Judith Jacks. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of John E. Jacks, may be made to First United Methodist Church of Canton, 930 Lower Scott Mill Rd, Canton, GA 30115 or Heritage Baptist Fellowship, 3615 Reinhardt College Parkway, Canton, GA 30114.
