Mrs. Karen C. Miller, 64, of Woodstock, GA passed away on February 6, 2014. She was born in Jacksonville, Florida, daughter of Guy M. and Elizabeth H. Carter (deceased). She attended the University of Florida and upon graduation, moved to Douglasville, GA with her husband Russell L. Miller to begin her career and to raise a family. Karen worked as a social worker and then as a real estate broker. Along with her career, she was an active volunteer in her church, a compassionate wife, and a loving mother. Upon retirement, Karen and her husband moved to Woodstock, GA to be closer to their son and daughter-in-law, and her new granddaughter, Isabella (Izzy). Spending time with Izzy brought Karen the most joy of all. Karen was a loving sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and disciple of Christ to her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Russ; her brother, Bruce Carter; her son, Chris & his wife Brandi and their daughter, Izzy, granddaughter of Karen. Karen will forever be in the hearts of her friends and family. A service and committal will be held at The Episcopal Church of the Annunciation located at 1673Jamerson Rd., Marietta, GA 30066.The service will be held Saturday February 15th at 1pm. The family has asked in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the “ECA Memorial Fund.”
