Sen. Chip Rogers visited with Pre-K students and teachers at Primrose School on Friday, including Carly Goble, Nicholas Gordon, Jaxson Griffin, Matthew Klein, Maggie Ku, Luka Margitch, Preston McCreary, Cayden Middleton Victoria Mudrik, Chloe Pendley, Nayana Pillai, Anya Pretorius, Kayla Shirley, Nikky Sobrevilla, Kailash Sreekanth, Audrey Walderich, Molly White, Hailey Yager, Bradyn Aldrich, Gwen Kahn with Bright from the Start, Sean Batcheller, Kellie Goodrow, Colin Bottoms, Callie Jacobs, Adison Brauchler and Robin Dalton, owner and director of the school.

Rogers visited at Primrose School of Woodstock, an accredited preschool that has been serving children of Cherokee County for 23 years since opening in 1990.
Last week was the state’s second year to mark Pre-K Week, sponsored by Voices for Georgia’s Children and its Pre-K Week partners.
Rogers is one of nearly 140 officials who visited some of the almost 3,800 Pre-K classrooms located in Georgia.
“We were so honored that Sen. Rogers took time away from his demanding schedule to spend time with us,” said Robin Dalton of Primrose School of Woodstock. “We need leaders like him to be vocal about the positive effects that early childhood education programs have on the future success of the child, and of our state.”
Rogers took a tour of the facility and visited classrooms, participated and read a story to the children, met the staff, greeted some of the parents and got an up-close look at the many ways that the center is supporting early learning.
The Primrose School has offered state Pre-K classes since 1995, and also offers a private Pre-K class. During the past four years, the school has partnered with Cherokee County Board of Education in providing Georgia Pre-K Inclusion classes.
