Maxal “Max” Rogers, age 82, of Ball Ground, died Saturday, May 26, 2012, at Heritage Hospice. He attended Canton Community Church, was a past President of the Canton Moose where he held the degree of Pilgrim, and he was a U.S. Navy Veteran. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 30, 2012, from the Chapel South Canton Funeral Home. The family will receive friends all day on Tuesday, May 29, 2012. He is preceded in death by son, William Gene Rogers. Survivors include wife, Harriet Rogers; son, Larry Rogers; step sons, Timothy and Joshua Joseph Smith; step daughter, Laura Schellhardt; and sisters, Mary Hall And Sarah Godfrey.
