Gustavo Valencia was a beloved husband, brother, father, uncle and grandfather. His wit and humor, capacity to be supportive and honest, and appreciating the small stuff in life gave him a constant smile. He made jokes while in the hospital, and wanted family to enjoy themselves while he slept and recovered. He showed dignity when faced with his declining heath, laughing with his children for two hours the day he called to tell them the diagnosis. He worked hard his entire life, and he was proud of it. He was an example that will be hard to follow, and a friend who will be missed. Rest in Peace. Memorial services are scheduled for Saturday, April 13 at 11AM from Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church with Father Victor Reyes officiating. The caring staff of Darby Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
