Mr. Bobby E. Holbrook, 69, of Homosassa, FL, formerly of Acworth, passed away Monday, August 19, 2013 at Gainesville V.A. Medical Center. Funeral services are scheduled for 7:00pm on Thursday, August 22, 2013 at the Sosebee Memorial Chapel. Interment will be at 10:00am on Friday August 23, 2013 in the Georgia National Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 6:00pm until 7:00pm. Mr. Holbrook served in the U.S. Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. He was a member of the American Legion,V.F.W. and the Patriot Guard. Bobby was a Brick Mason and enjoyed motorcycles. He is preceded in death by his parents, Hoyt and Nellie Holbrook; 3 brothers, Terry, Larry, and Kenneth and sister, Shirley. Survivors include his wife, Edith K. Holbrook of Homosassa, FL; daughters, Rachel (George) Deroxtro of Summerville, SC, Barbara Jean (Karl) Vance of Canton, and Lisa Holbrook of Acworth; sisters, Janice Adams, Debbie Cox and Dottie Hitrick all of Acworth; step-daughters, Pam Spiczak of Acworth, Sharon Tidwell of Pine Bluff, AR, Deborah Henson of Pine Bluff, AR, and Melba Ostrander of Homosassa, FL; step-son, Jackie Andrew Plumley of Pine Bluff, AR; 7 grandchildren; special friend, Janie Holbrook of Woodstock; several nieces and nephews.
