The body of a Marietta woman found drowned in Lake Allatoona on Sunday rattled an otherwise quiet Labor Day holiday weekend in Cherokee County. Acworth resident Danette Yarger said she and her family were boating Sunday morning when her two young sons discovered the woman’s body floating in 3 feet of water near the Kellogg Creek Day Use area on Lake Allatoona, about 20 feet from shore.
