As Etowah settled for an eighth-place finish as a team at Monday’s Class AAAAAA championship in Tifton, Nick Budd made a push for the individual title. Ultimately, though, Budd’s 71 led him to a five-way tie for second, four strokes behind the champion, Norcross’ Zach Healy.

Creekview, Etowah golfers get like state finishes

A state title will have to wait for another year after the Creekview and Etowah boys wrapped up their golf seasons with eighth-place finishes Monday in their respective state tournaments.
