Mr. Deward "Gene" Clackum, Sr., age 75, of Acworth, passed away on Friday, October 22 at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital. Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 27, 2010 from the Sosebee Memorial Chapel with Rev. Randall Chastain, Rev. Gerald McPherson and Rev. Dallas Cornett officiating. Interment will follow in the Rolling Hills Memory Gardens. Mr. Clackum was retired from the Georgia Department of Transportation. He was Baptist and enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling. Survivors include his children, Bonnie Clackum, Wanda Morgan and Big Tim Clackum all of Acworth; sisters, Mary Anderson Davis of Dahlonega, Margie Price of Jasper; brother, Billy Clackum of Las Vegas, NV; 11 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
