Mary Lee Brookshire, 89, of Acworth, died Wednesday, April 13, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 Sunday afternoon in the chapel of Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Nathan Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. A native and life long resident of Acworth, Mrs. Brookshire was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Clyde Ellis Brookshire and is survived by her children, James C. Brookshire, Jerry E. Brookshire and Shelia Ann Brookshire Bullard, all of Acworth; 5 grandsons, 3 great grandchildren; sister, Jean Beavers of Alexander City, AL; several nieces and nephews.
