SPARKS, Hugh B.
Mr. Hugh B. Sparks, 61, of Canton, passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2011 at Northside Hospital Cherokee. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, May 8, 2011 at the Sosebee Memorial Chapel with Rev. Mike Ware and Rev. Leon Goodwin officiating. Interment will follow in Ophir Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. and Saturday all day at the funeral home. Mr. Sparks was retired from Tyson Foods. He was a member of Ophir Baptist Church and coached youth sports in Cherokee County for over 20 years. Hugh loved traveling in the mountains. Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Mary Ann Sparks of Canton; children, Duffy (Melisa) Sparks of Hickory Flat and Anna (Gustavo) Lopez of Woodstock; grandchildren, Ben Sparks and Hannah Lopez; brother, Wayne Sparks of Marble Hill; Sosebee Funeral Home, Canton, GA, honored to serve the family. 770-479-2131. sosebeefuneralhome.com
