Dorothy West Phillips age 72, of Canton, GA passed away Friday, October 28, 2011 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:00 AM, on Monday, October 31, at the New Light Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Caylor, and Rev. Monroe Gunter officiating. Interment will follow at Cherokee Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Sunday, at South Canton Funeral Home. Mrs. Phillips was preceded in death by her husband, Loyd Phillips. Survivors include: children, Kyle (Becky) Phillips, Sandy Springs; sister, Sue Swartzmiller, Locust Grove; grand children Brady & Orion Phillips, Sandy Springs. My condolences go out to the family members of Dorothy West Phillips. Although I did not know Ms. Phillips, I am sadden by your loss.The original purpose for all mankind did not include death; however we have experience this enemy due to disobedient by the original couple Adam & Eve. For this reason almighty God promised away out by offering his only son Jesus Christ, so that we all may live. There will a removal of death forever, according to (REV 21:3&4)then we will be able to enjoy life on this earth as it was intended (Psalms 37:10 &11). This will allow for the resurrection of the the dead.(John 5:28 & 29)
