WOODSTOCK — Police are looking for a man they say called in a bomb threat to a local online payment company Thursday afternoon.

Woodstock Police spokeswoman Brittany Duncan said an unidentified man called nCourt at 103 Springfield Drive around 3 p.m. Thursday and said there was a bomb in the building.

“He said, ‘You have two hours to evacuate,’” Duncan said.

Employees of nCourt, located behind Georgia Commerce Bank, as well as almost all other businesses within the office park were told to leave the premises for about an hour and a half, Duncan said. She added that Creekside Bank was not evacuated, but it was made aware of the threat.

“The children from (Kids ‘R’ Kids Daycare) were transported to First Baptist Church of Woodstock,” Duncan said. “All other evacuees were moved to the front of Creekside Bank.”

The Woodstock K-9 Unit was then able to clear the building, surrounding businesses and vehicles. After the area was cleared, employees went back into the building per nCourt CEO’s request.
