Benjamin “Ben” Ellis, age 14, of Talking Rock, passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2011 at his residence. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, December 11, 2011 at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Talking Rock with Rev. Ed Land officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. at Sosebee Funeral Home.Ben was a student at Gilmer County High School. He was a member of the Gilmer County High School FFA and Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. Ben enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with family and friends. Survivors include his parents, Bobby Joe and Karan Ellis of Talking Rock; sisters, Kelly Ghorley of Cartersville and Krystal Ellis of Augusta; brothers, Brandon Ellis and Barry Ellis both of Talking Rock; grandmother, Ruby Little of Harriman, TN; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
