Mrs. Kathryn Lacy Simmons, 74, of Canton, passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at the Sosebee Memorial Chapel with Rev. Doug Mulkey officiating. Interment services were private. Mrs. Simmons was retired from DFACS and member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Jim Simmons of Canton; children, Becky (Doug) Mullinax and Russell (Vikki) Simmons all of Canton; grandchildren, Lacy, Annie Laurie and Kathryn; great-grandchildren, Cohen and Makayla.
