Cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend Deloris Markey, 77, of Canton, passed unexpectedly May 14th, 2012 at Northside Hospital Cherokee. She was born June 18th, 1934 to William Turner and Alma Pridgen in Newport News Virginia. Throughout her life, Dee worked actively with the PTA and other community organizations in Cherry Hill, New Jersey where she and her husband, Robert raised their five children. Dee has since been a long-time volunteer and administrator for the Auxiliary Services at Northside Hospital Cherokee, as well as a beloved member of Canton United Methodist Church. Dee is survived by brother, William Turner, Virginia; daughters, Kimberly Brown, Canton, Roberta Jo Smith, New Jersey, Susan Bokoski, Texas; son, John Markey, New Jersey, along with their spouses; ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Dee has been preceded by loving husband and son, Robert Markey and David Markey. Memorial service will be held Saturday, May 19th at 10 a.m. at South Canton Funeral Home, 3147 Marietta Hwy Canton, Georgia 30114.
