Holly Springs Police looking for truck involved in incident

HOLLY SPRINGS — The Holly Springs Police Department needs the public’s help in identifying a vehicle and its driver it says were involved in a traffic incident over the weekend.

Police say around 1:30 p.m. Saturday, a possible “act of aggressive driving” resulted in an item being thrown or falling from a truck and going through the windshield of another vehicle.

The item went through another driver’s windshield and struck the driver in the face.

The incident happened on Interstate 575 northbound at Sixes Road, Exit 11.

The victim was taken to Northside Hospital-Cherokee in Canton and was treated for injuries to his face.

Lt. Tanya Anderson, public information officer with the department, said the truck in question is described as a “small primer-gray truck” and said drugs or alcohol were suspected to be involved at the time of the incident.
