WALLIS, Texas (AP) _ Authorities say three people, including a boy, are dead after their glider crashed into a field in Southeast Texas.

The Texas Department of Public Safety says the crash happened around 5 p.m. Sunday near Wallis, about 40 miles west of Houston.

The department has yet to release the names of the man, woman and boy who died in the crash.

The Federal Aviation Administration says that the glider was released from the tow aircraft and almost immediately went into a nose dive and crashed.

Investigators are trying to determine what caused the accident.
