SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) _ There’s another reason for beer drinkers to visit Savannah.

A Florida-based chain called World of Beer is opening a location in the port city on Tuesday. The pub will have 62 taps with rotating brews, plus more than 500 brands of bottled beers.

The Savannah Morning News reports that the city is increasingly becoming a destination for people who love beer.

The city has three local craft breweries and an annual brewing festival that drew some 3,500 people last year. Local tourism promoter Melissa Yao says more than 4,000 people are expected for this year’s event.

Also, a magazine and website called BeerAdvocate tapped Savannah as its “Beer Destination” for April.

Yao says adding breweries and new attractions in the city’s historic district is helping attract tourists to Savannah.
