Mrs. Wynell Owen Blackwell, 84, of Waleska, passed away on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at her residence. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 30, 2012 at the Sosebee Memorial Chapel with Dr. Herman Williams and Dr. C.R. Hill officiating. Interment will follow in Cherokee Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Blackwell was Owner and President of Blackwell Insurance Agency, Inc. She was an avid tennis player and a member of Waleska First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school, sang in the choir and was active in the W.M.U. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Leon Blackwell. Survivors include her children, Susan (Jim) Kea of Roswell, David (Montez) Blackwell of Woodstock and Eddie Blackwell of Waleska; grandchildren, Chris (Lynette) Lawrence of Buford, Drew (Cayla) Blackwell of Carterville, Cameron Kea of Roswell, Tyler Blackwell of Woodstock, Lexanne Kea of Roswell, Conner Blackwell of Woodstock and Emily Blackwell of Waleska; sisters, Mary Butler of Gainesville and Ruth (Billy) Beard of Canton; a host of nieces and nephews.
