WOODSTOCK — The Woodstock Police Department will host a free self-defense course for Woodstock residents next month.

The course, conducted at the City Hall Annex from 12 to 2 p.m., will be taught in partnership with the National Self Defense Company. The annex is located at 12453 Highway 92 in Woodstock.

“The two-hour course will provide participants with one-on-one instruction on various self-defense techniques in a controlled environment,” said Woodstock police spokeswoman Brittany Duncan.

Anyone interested in participating in this course is asked to contact Officer Leigh Ellerbee, member of the Woodstock Police Department Neighborhood Services Unit, at (770) 592-6000 ext. 1134 or cellerbee@woodstockga.gov.

Spaces are limited and are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.
