Mrs. Barbara Ellen Clackum, 73, of Canton, passed away on Friday, June 29, 2012 at her residence. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 am Monday, July 2, 2012 at the Sosebee Memorial Chapel with Rev. Bill Allen officiating. Interment will follow in Cherokee Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 5 pm until 9 pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Clackum was retired from School Food Services with Cherokee County Board of Education and was a member of Welcome All Baptist Church. She enjoyed poetry, quilting, sewing, gardening, cooking, camping, fishing and drawing. Most of all she enjoyed being a mother and grandmother. Survivors include her children, Darryl (Shari) Clackum and Laura Lee Clackum; grandchildren, Barbara “Beth” Padgett, Jeff Padgett and Cari Nicole Clackum; sister, Dian McGahee.
