WOODSTOCK — Officials with the Cherokee County Health Department hope a water main break that shut down operations in Woodstock could be fixed as soon as today.

Around noon Tuesday, the department discovered the water main break on its side of the meter operated by the city of Woodstock.

With the exception of vital records, the department shuttered all operations at the Cherokee County South Annex on Main Street and transferred them to its Canton offices on Univeter Road, said North Georgia Health District Public Information Officer Jennifer King.

Notices have been posted on the office’s doors in Woodstock.

“If anyone is calling, they’ll be directed to go to Canton office,” King added.

For more information, call (770) 345-7371 or (706) 272-2125.
