Byrd, who is seeking a third term, raised $39,183 during the most recent period, which brings her total to $150,693.57.

The incumbent spent $17,525.35 during the June 30 reporting period, which brought her total expenditures to $111,148.55.

Byrd reported she has $39,545.02 in cash on hand. She also has a $15,000 loan on the books.

Caldwell's money is all from individuals and small, local businesses. Byrd's money is nearly all from PACs and campaign funds from other unchallanged members of the assembly. I would rather have the guy who represents the people and who can run a successful campaing with less money and without debt than someone whos vote is bought and paid for by house leadership.

8 out of 10 of the contributions for Byrd listed here are Lobbyists, PACs, and other candidates...

When you compare actual campaign financing from Georgia citizens and businesses, Michael Caldwell has more contributions from Byrd. Considering Caldwell refuses contributions from Lobbyists, PACs, other political campaigns, or from out of state, this hardly paints the full picture.
