Lt. Jay Baker, spokesman for the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, said Monday that Darlene Norrell, 46, was identified using her dental records by the GBI Crime Lab.
The other two bodies found in the Spriggs Trail home have not been positively identified, Baker said.
Darlene Norrell’s husband, Ricky Norrell, and their 19-year-old daughter, Lindsey, also lived at the home.
Baker said identification for the other two people will have to be made via DNA, which will likely take weeks.
Last week’s blaze left only ashes of the split-level home behind. An explosion was reported by neighbors.
When firefighters arrived on the scene in the early morning hours last Wednesday, they found the home had already collapsed and was engulfed in flames,
The cause and origin of the fire remains under investigation by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office.
