WOODSTOCK — Local law enforcement agencies will come together next weekend for the 29th annual National Night Out festival.

The crime prevention and awareness event will take place at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Park at City Center in downtown Woodstock.

The event, sponsored by Colby Chiropractic and Target, is designed to raise awareness of crime and drug prevention and generate support for local efforts to suppress and deter crime and tighten the bond between law enforcement and community partnerships.

Activities include K-9 and SWAT demonstrations, a rock climbing wall, helicopter viewing, bounce houses and other activities for children.

Participating agencies include Georgia State Patrol, Drug Enforcement Administration, Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services, Holly Springs Police Department, Woodstock Fire Department, Cherokee Safe Kids and Air Life 5.
