The Times of Gainesville reports that a Hall County grand jury indicted Paul J. Bennett of Cumming in connection with the June 18 collision that killed 13-year-old Griffin Prince and his 9-year-old brother, Jake, both of Buford.
WSB-TV reports that the charges include first-degree homicide by vessel, boating under the influence and refusing to surrender aid.
Griffin Prince’s body was found in the lake several days after a fishing boat collided with a pontoon boat he and his family members were aboard. Jake Prince died at the scene.
A home number for the 44-year-old Bennett couldn’t be located, and it wasn’t known whether he has an attorney.
