NELSON — The second reading of the Fiscal Year 2013 budget will be considered by the Nelson City Council on Monday.

The council will meet at 7 p.m. at Nelson City Hall.

The proposed budget is set at $386,000, and does not account for any property tax or fire district millage rate increase.

The council will also discuss committee reports, consider planning commission and finance committee guidelines, which amenities to include in its proposed park project with Cherokee County, changing the date of its September council meeting, re-assigning areas of responsibility, upgrading street signs and fixing or closing the children’s playground.
