Tyre “T.M.” Hitt, age 72, of Canton, died Sunday, August 5, 2012. Mr. Hitt was a native of Forsyth Co., born August 20, 1939. He married and graduated in 1957. He had a great love for his Lord Jesus Christ and going to Church. He was a wonderful husband and father, grandfather and great grandfather. Mr. Hitt was an Ordained Deacon, Preacher and Musician. He played in the Saw Mill Band at the Cumming Fairgrounds. He worked and retired from PPG Industries with 47 years of service filling many positions, among those a Chemist, Sales and Service Rep. along with being a Technical trouble shooter. After his retirement from PPG he went to work for Kroger. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 8, 2012 from the Chapel of the Darby Funeral Home. Rev. Danny Orr, Rev. Bobby Padgett, Rev. Pete Martin, Rev. Dan Henderson and Mr. Bill Hudson officiating. Burial Will be in the Macedonia Memorial Park. Visitation Wednesday 9:00 a.m. till funeral hour. Mr. Hitt was preceded in death by his mother and father, Mae and Oscar Hitt; brothers, John and David Hitt; sister, Elnora Coltrane; and beloved daughter, Carol Sumner. Survivors are wife, Annette Hitt, Canton, GA.; son, Timothy Hitt, Canton, GA; daughters, Vickie Hitt, Dallas, GA, Sheila White, Homer, GA; sister, Jean Moose, Snellville, GA; grandchildren, Tiffany Tyson, Tosha Roger, Caleb Hitt, Kettural Hitt; and great grandchildren, Anderson, Carter, and Novalie. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association for Vascular Dementia. The caring staff of Darby Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
