Early voting under way for runoff

CANTON — Advanced voting is under way for the runoff slated for next Tuesday.

Voters in the County Commission District 2 have the opportunity to cast their ballots ahead of Tuesday’s runoff through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Al Stone Elections Office at 400 East Main St. in downtown Canton.

Voters in the district will choose between incumbent County Commissioner Jim Hubbard and challenger Raymond Gunnin.

Voting on Tuesday will be from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and will take place at the following precincts: Air Acres, Arnold Mill, Avery, Bradshaw, Hickory Flat, Little River, Mountain Road, Neese, Union Hill, Univeter and Woodlands.
