Richard “ Anthony” Brooks, 65, of Acworth, passed away on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at the VA Medical Center in Dublin, GA. Graveside services will be held at 3 pm Monday, August 27, 2012 at Cherokee Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Kent Samples officiating. Anthony served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a Vietnam Veteran. He was a truck driver for RWH Trucking. Survivors include his mother, Lottie Brooks of Acworth; sister and brother-in-law, Debbie and Don Smith of Acworth; niece, Jennifer Wilkie of Acworth; chosen brother, Darrell Hickman of Cartersville. Richard Anthony Brooks was also survived by his only child, Stephanie Lynn. For the blessed Brooks family to not mention her is horrible, or to not notify her of her fathers death.
