Mrs. Ruby Nell “Peck” Pinyan, age 83, of Smyrna, passed away Tuesday, September 4. A funeral service will be held 2 pm Saturday, September 8 in the chapel of Carmichael Funeral Home in Smyrna with the Revs. Joey Watson and Horace Richards officiating. Interment will be in Cherokee Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Pinyan was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 63 years R.T. Pinyan. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon (Phillip) Burruss of Smyrna; sister, Dorothy (Pix) McFarland of Marietta; grandchildren, Tracy Bryson, Lisa Ayers, Stephanie Jenkins; great grandchildren, Morgan Mansfield, several nieces. The family would like to thank the people at Crossroads Hospice and especially thank Evelyn and Holiday for their loving care. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Friday, September 7 at the funeral home.
