Mrs. Louise Pruitt, 88, of Woodstock, passed away on Thursday, September 06, 2012 at the Brian Center Nursing Home in Canton. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Saturday, September 8, 2012 at New Home Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Floyd and Rev. Amos Pruitt officiating. Mrs. Pruitt will lie-in-state at the church on Saturday from 11 – 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday all day at Sosebee Funeral Home. Mrs. Pruitt was a member of New Home Baptist Church and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Alfred Pruitt. Survivors include her children, Kathy Poss of Dawsonville, Debra Smith of Cumming, Judy Whitmire of Alabama, James Pruitt of Canton and Mark Pruitt of Florida; sister, Hazel Hopkins of Woodstock; 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
