Mrs. Catherine Owen Hawkins, 85, of Canton passed away on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at Northside Cherokee Hospital. Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. on Friday, September 21, 2012 at Sosebee Memorial Chapel with Rev. Kent Samples and Rev. Horace Richards officiating. Interment was in Cherokee Memorial Park. Mrs. Hawkins was a member First Baptist Church in Canton for 70 years and the Joy Sunday School Class. Survivors include siblings, Leon (Faye) Owen of Canton, Billy (Dorothy) Owen of Jacksonville, Florida and Linda (Homer) Brookshire of Canton; sisters-in-law, Myrtle Owen of Canton and Evelyn Owen of Holly Springs; foster children, Hazel and Debbie and a host of nieces and nephews.
