Officials at the nonprofit Okefenokee Swamp Park in the Waycross area say they’re forming a partnership with the Ware County school system to get students involved, will offer a live Internet feed and will take other initiatives to draw attention from around the world.
The Florida Times-Union reports that the efforts are part of the park’s Osprey Project. The project aims to boost cash flow from the admission, gift shop purchases and donations on which the park survives, after a string of lean years.
The nonprofit formed in 1946 to draw tourists to the Waycross area.
