MARIETTA – A 68-year old Powder Springs man has been charged with three felony counts of sexual battery with a juvenile related to incidents at Six Flags White Water.
Jerry Dean Westbrook, who had a season pass to the Marietta water park, was arrested on Tuesday. Marietta Police spokesman Officer David Baldwin said Westbrook has at least three victims, two between 8 and 9 years old and the third a pre-teen. Police are currently trying to see if there are more victims.
“We do feel there’s a real possibility of unreported victims,” he said. “We have no idea how many.”
Baldwin said Westbrook was known to frequent White Water alone. He said such behavior is unusual for a man Westbrook’s age.
Last month, police announced they were looking into allegations of inappropriate conduct between a 50-70 year old man and young girls in the wave pool at White Water, located just north of the Big Chicken at 250 Cobb Parkway. They said the incidents took place at the end of August and the beginning of September.
