Directed by Kyle Eason and Brett Leverette who have brought a fresh vision to the classic story by Lewis Carroll, a large cast of youth and adults dazzles from start to finish, according to artistic director and playwright G. Lora Grooms.
“Carroll would tell stories to the Lidell sisters and after a time, they begged him to write them down. Apparently Alice had a bit of a temper and so the story character is often reminded by the Caterpillar and others to ‘keep your temper,” Grooms said. “Our regular production team of incredible volunteers — Jim and Cindy Flanders, Elaine and Harry Heinisch, Julie and Shannon Sokol and additional helpers Joan Gundin, Susan Shayka, Laura Crawford, Rebekah Leverette — are making this production a true feast for the eyes.”
The cast features Carys Jeffrey and Zoe Ribley as small and tall Alice — she keeps changing sizes as the story goes along, Kelly Scott and Jeffrey Collins as Queen and King of Hearts, Ross Ruda as Knave, Olivia Smith as the White Rabbit, Andrew Shepherd as Mad Hatter, David Lindsey as March Hare, Celia Hamby as Dormouse, Jennifer Jones as Caterpillar, Samantha Kuzian as Cheshire Cat, Sarah Shepherd as Duchess and Patrick Fagan and Noah Lee as Tweedle Dee and Dum.
The cast also includes Olivia Hagan, Nivia Medina, Juliette Hopkins, Kristin Kimberly, Alex Hulse, Madeline Hamby, Kerrison Carter, Reagan Sparkman, Morgan Carter, Ansley Rickson, Luke Roness, Kyra Larson, Rex Rickson and Erin Walsh.
The production runs from Nov. 9 to 18, Fridays at 7:30 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays at 2 p.m.
